About David Gonella
A MFA graduate of UBC’s Film Department, David Gonella moved to Salmon Arm from East Vancouver in 2006 after working as a writer, director and producer in the movie and music video industry. Between film gigs, David served two years as the Guest Coordinator for the Vancouver International Film Festival.
Upon his arrival in the Shuswap, David joined the Salmon Arm Roots&Blues Festival as its Volunteer Coordinator. Spending the next ten years with the annual music festival, David progressed through the organization, serving as the Site Manager, Production Manager, and Festival Director, and in the Fall of 2017, David was promoted to lead the organization as the Executive Director.
About Megan Tabor
Meghan is an experienced leader in marketing and destination management, with over a decade dedicated to advancing tourism and community development. As the Executive Director at Tourism Revelstoke, Meghan leads strategic initiatives and builds impactful partnerships to strengthen tourism’s role in community enhancement. In addition, she shares her industry expertise as a part-time business professor at Okanagan College, teaching courses in tourism and destination management. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the beauty of the province through skiing, snowmobiling, and mountain biking.
About Mo Douglas
Mo Douglas has spent 35 years working in tourism, major events, arts, culture, and community engagement.
Since 2016, Mo has been executive director of Arts Whistler, Whistler’s lead agency for arts and culture, producing creative programs, projects and exhibitions that bring arts into the daily lives of residents and visitors. Arts Whistler operates the Maury Young Arts Centre in Whistler Village on behalf of the Resort Municipality of Whistler.
After spending 10 years as director of festivals for Tourism Whistler, Mo led communications and community relations for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games from 2002 to 2010. Mo is also the president of consulting firm Mobilize Strategies, which provides event, community and workplace engagement strategies for municipal governments, the tourism sector, industry associations, and social enterprises.
