Supporting Youth in the Performing Arts

The Next Gen represents BC Live Performance Network’s commitment to creating opportunities to young people in the performing arts sector through financial support to attend Pacific Contact, BC’s annual showcase conference for the performing arts.

Youth Opportunity

Nominated youth are eligible for complimentary registration and up to $500 to support travel and accommodation to attend Pacific Contact. Youth are defined as those 19-30 years old. Priority will be given to those who have not participated in the past. A limited number of subsidies are available.

The BC Touring Council, which operates as the BC Live Performance Network, is a registered charitable organization.

Who Can Nominate?

Presenters can nominate a youth from their organization/region. Presenter nominators must be current BC Live members who are registered for Pacific Contact.

Artist Representatives (Agents/Managers) can nominate a youth working with their agency or management company. Agent nominators must be current BC Live members who are registered for Pacific Contact.

Artist/Artistic Companies can nominate a youth artist or artistic company member who is mentored by you or your company. Artist nominators must be current BC Live members who are registered for Pacific Contact.

Nomination Procedure

Members are invited to nominate a youth working or volunteering in the performing arts in BC.
