Granville Island is a premier artistic and cultural hub steeped in a rich industrial and maritime heritage, hosting many festivals, dance, theatre, improv, comedy and live music events. While there are many arts and cultural venues on Granville Island, the list below highlights key Pacifc Contact 2025 venues.

Carousel Theatre

Carousel Theatre was formed in 1974 to inspire, enlighten and entertain young people and their families through accessible theatrical experiences that develop audiences and artists. Their venue in the heart of Granville Island and across from the Waterfront Theatre will host Pacific Contact workshops and meetings in three of their vibrant rehearsal studios.

Performance Works

Performance Works is an accessible, flexible and beautiful performance and event space with a wooden floor surrounded by impressive wooden beams. It is a multifunctional, flexible black box theatre space which hosts some of Vancouver’s most exciting performance events and productions. Performance Works is the hub of Pacific Contact. It will host registration, the Contact Room, the Presenter PechaKuchas, the Awards Ceremony & Closing Party.

Revue Stage

Located across from the Arts Club Theatre and adjacent to the market, the Revue Stage was founded out of a collective desire to create a permanent home for DIY experimental art, music, and culture in Vancouver. The theatre, bathrooms and lobby are all accessible. The Revue will host showcases at Pacific Contact.

Waterfront Theatre

The Waterfront Theatre is a beautiful soft-seat theatre with impressive drapes framing the raised proscenium stage. There is a raked seating area, ample performance space, a concession area, and a lobby art gallery, making this venue ideal for performances and festivals. Originally the old Tyee Machinery Building, the Waterfront Theatre was transformed over 30 years ago into the 224-seat theatre it is today. The Waterfront will be a showcase venue for Pacific Contact.
