About Granville Island
Granville Island is located on False Creek across from from Downtown Vancouver, under the south end of the Granville Street Bridge. Formerly an industrial manufacturing area, it is now home to a public market, restaurants, a marina, a hotel, the False Creek Community Centre, numerous artists’ studios and workshops, and various performing arts theatres, including the Arts Club Theatre Company and Carousel Theatre.

Getting to Granville Island
Take the Canada Line (rapid transit rail) to Olympic Village Station, and you can then transfer to the #50 bus downtown. It will take you to the entrance of Granville Island. Visit the Translink website at https://www.translink.ca/ for details.
Take the #50 bus downtown. Service is every 15 minutes from the Waterfront or Olympic Village Skytrain stations.
All False Creek ferry routes are wheelchair, bicycle, and pet-friendly.
Aquabus
The rainbow-coloured Aquabus travels around False Creek and stops at the foot of Hornby St., Stamp’s Landing, Yaletown (foot of Davie St.), and Science World. The Aquabus dock is between the Public Market and the Arts Club Theatre.
The Aquabus runs from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm.
The current fare from Granville Island to Yaletown is $6 one way or $17 per day. The ferries accept credit, debit, and cash on board.
False Creek Ferries
The False Creek Ferries also travel around the Inlet and stop at the Maritime Museum (west of Granville Island), the Aquatic Centre (under the Burrard St. Bridge, on the downtown side (north of the Inlet), Stamp’s Landing, and Science World (the easternmost point of False Creek). The False Creek Ferry dock is near the entrance to Tap & Barrell Bridges Restaurant.
Ferries run every 7-15 minutes from 7:10 am to 8:40 pm.
The current fares run from $3 one way to $13 return, $20 for a hop-on-and-off day pass or $18 for seniors. False Creek Ferries prefer payment via credit/debit card (tap) at the Granville Island dock or on board. Check https://granvilleislandferries.bc.ca/tickets/fares-list/ for fares.
Getting to Granville Island by car is easy since many main thoroughfares run nearby, including the Granville St. Bridge above, 4th Avenue to the south, and Burrard St. to the west. Cars drive fairly slowly on Granville Island (the speed limit is 30 km/h).
Six Level II 30A car charging stations are available on the main level of the Old Bridge Street Indoor Lot.
To bike to Granville Island, take a bike path that runs along the shore of False Creek. There’s plenty of free bike parking.
Parking
There is limited paid parking on Granville Island within parking lots, and there is a multi-level parkade on Old Bridge Street and the street.
Pay parking is available from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm daily. Overnight parking is only permitted in the multi-level parkade on Old Bridge Street.

Paid parking is also available at the Planetarium, 1100 Chestnut Street (view map). You can Access Granville Island by walking east along this route by the seawall (view walking directions) (10–15 minutes).

A taxi stand / ride-hailing stand is on Johnston St., next to the Arts Club Theatre parking lot. Please note this is an immediate loading and unloading area for ride-hailing in front of Ocean Artworks, just east of the taxi stand.
