Join the Canadian Artists for Reconciliation & Education (C.A.R.E.) for their next Circle Talk with guest, Raven Reid. Participants are invited to join the conversation by asking thoughtful questions or simply listening. Whether you wish to participate or listen actively, C.A.R.E. welcomes you to join.
Raven Reid is an Indigenous folk singer-songwriter from Yellowknife, with ancestral connections to the Mikisew First Nation in Alberta. Her music is a poignant reflection of her life’s raw emotions. Born during a time of oppression and racism against Indigenous communities, she experienced displacement. Growing up away from her biological family and community as part of the 60’s Scoop, Raven courageously sings about the generational trauma faced by many Indigenous families—a legacy shaped by assimilation policies.
