Apply for Travel Financial Assistance

If you are an artist selected for Showcase or are interested in attending Pacific Contact there are a number of opportunities to apply for financial assistance towards the travel costs.

To be eligible for this travel funding listed below the showcase must be taking place various distances from the artists home base.

BC Arts Council’s Arts Circulation & Touring Funding Program

This program supports eligible individuals with circulation and touring activities both within BC and outside the province up to $25,000. Grants are available to professional artists for single artistic opportunities involving travel that will provide long-term benefits or impact to the applicant; for planning for the touring or circulation of work, including research into and development of possible tours or circulation engagements, for participation in events focused on the promotion of work for the purposes of future circulation and touring opportunities, or for networking development opportunities.

SOCAN Travel Assistance Program offers up to $1,000 across all genres of music to assist with travel-related costs for career-building or career-defining activities in Canada or abroad including Showcases.

The Travel component of Arts Across Canada funds provides Grants of up to $3,250 per person to participate in significant events, build a national presence and for festivals and presenters to conduct research for Canadian artistic programming including Showcases.
