SUMMARY:Advanced Governance: Strategic and Generative Conversation
DESCRIPTION:A half-day interactive workshop from Vantage Point is free for BC Live Members and their Board Members. Led by Jennifer Barr\, Knowledge Philanthropist Facilitator: \n“I am an independent consultant serving the health care and non-profit sectors with expertise in strategic planning\, project and change management\, organizational and community development\, stakeholder engagement and facilitation. I have worked across the continuum of population and public health through to acute care settings. My most recent experiences have been supporting special projects for senior leadership with Fraser Health and leading complex physician engagement initiatives in hospitals across B.C.’s lower mainland. \nI thrive as part of a team supporting that creative and dynamic process to bring out the best in everyone as we work towards a shared goal.” \nLearning Outcomes \nBy the end of this workshop\, participants will be able to: \n• Describe the three modes of governance. \n• Identify important fiduciary\, strategic\, and generative questions to discuss as a board. \n• Implement meeting tools that support complicated and complex conversations at the board table.
